R. Clancy Parks, Midwest 1031 Co-Manager
Midwest 1031 was founded in 1994 by R. Clancy Parks who continues to this day serving as co-manager of Midwest 1031 Exchange Co. Attorney-owned means Midwest 1031's documents, process and client interactions are governed from the perspective of an attorney. This perspective sets us apart in the field of 1031 services and enables us to be "your 1031 tax-deferred exchange specialist".
Mr. Parks is pleased to have been mentored by the pre-eminent expert on 1031 Exchanges, the late, Jeremiah Long, of Seattle, WA. We pride ourselves on being an integral part of your team as we work with you and your advisors. Also, we recognize we are part of your team and we look forward to working and coordinating with your Attorney, CPA, Realtor/Broker, and other professionals to make your 1031 Exchange a successful transaction and experience.

QUALIFIED INTERMEDIARIES and ATTORNEYS
It is important to point out that although Midwest 1031 is attorney-owned, Midwest 1031 is not the taxpayer's attorney when Midwest 1031 is serving as the Qualified Intermediary. The IRS Code prevents any agent (including the taxpayer's attorney) from being the taxpayer's Qualified Intermediary. That said, Midwest 1031 is glad to work with any of the taxpayer's advisors, from legal to financial, to ensure the 1031 transaction is handled with professionalism, timeliness, and precision. Sometimes, a 1031 taxpayer wants us to serve as their attorney. In this circumstance, the law office of Parks & Jones, Attorneys at Law may be the right fit. If one of our attorneys serves as the taxpayer's attorney, then a different Qualified Intermediary will need to be selected for the taxpayer.
